It’s customary to give the bridesmaids a little gift in appreciation of the support lent to the bride leading up to the wedding.  Even if you plan to give them the traditional gift of jewelry to be worn on the day of the wedding, you can take it a step further and have them packed in a pretty little jewelry box to make the gift even more worthwhile. Your bridesmaids will surely remember this act of generosity whenever they use their jewelry box. You can do this by selecting different types of jewelry boxes according to their personalities or go ahead and buy the same box so that there will be no controversy over the matter.

Today’s bridesmaid would appreciate something modern and fashionable and definitely would not like something cutesy or overly feminine.   She would much prefer something in the line of a wooden jewelry box or leather jewelry box which looks classic and sophisticated.  Selecting a women’s jewelry box according to the type of jewelry each bridesmaid normally wears is a good route to go. One might be more into necklaces and rings whereas the other one might prefer bracelets and earrings. You can of course select a traditional wooden jewelry box that has many compartments for necklaces and bracelets as well as sliding trays and little drawers for earrings, rings and other little trinkets any girl would collect. It would also be a very good idea to personalize the jewelry boxes by having their names engraved on the box with the date of the wedding, and if you like, a small message of appreciation from the bride and groom.

You should not wait till the day of the wedding to handover the gifts. Have them wrapped up prettily so that you can hand them over to your bridesmaids the day before the wedding or at your rehearsal is appropriate.  Remind them that they should bring the jewelry with them to be worn for the wedding. The bridesmaids will be thrilled at your thoughtful gesture and will treasure their jewelry boxes forever.
