Working in retail for years has given the opportunity of an up close seem at the design and craftsmanship of couture, ready to wear and sportswear.   Chills, however reach a new height as I step into the planet of accessories.  You never ought to be the proper size to carry the “it” tote, and contrary to opinion of all of the glossy magazines telling you this years’ the “it” bag is only you are able to deem a tote worthy of that label.  Via the seasons all females enthralled with the coveted “it” tote scour magazines, stores and yes, what other females carry for the glimpse of the tote that they have to have.  What makes the straightforward concept of a handbag come to life for some is difficult to tell, but I can relate to the passion, desire and fortitude that comes with just about every new season and just about every new bag.

Bags come and go but designers of high quality will not, designers of function usually do not, designers of your standard carry-all do not…style is the definition of what compliments your everyday attitude and needs, and your accessories should compliment that style.

Define each of the areas….focus on “it” = your style not dictated by the masses….as that comes and goes!  This year I’m not finding a bag worthy of this label.  Oh, you will locate plenty of fantastic bags in all prices…think Channel, Louis Vitton, Balenciaga and obviously their look-alikes and you will find countless of choices to drool over.  I know I did.  Something is missing from the all the handbags readily available to us, it isn’t who carries them or who designs them, it truly is who wears them.

So even though momma always said, “you can define a woman by her shoes and tote,” I think she was a bit off, you’ll be able to define a woman not by the label or price tag that she flaunts on her arm like candy but the high quality and confidence and ease in which her chosen “it” bag is carried.  So while I will usually drool and desire the classic Channel quilted chain bag in fundamental black and marvel at its excellent in workmanship…I will probably never ever have one and which is ok!  I am fine with this since while the excellent and the label mean the entire world to my diva approaches, the tote does not fit my lifestyle.  I never ever carry just one or two things, I am like a bag lady…I need room pockets and yes a sense of model to go with my daily “preppy” seem.  So though my “it” tote this year has not been, I do have contenders, not for their selling price, or label but for their top quality  but what suits my life.  So ladies re-think your tote this year, go for what is you and define that as your “it” not what everyone else has to have.  Was momma right…well, maybe, a good bag and great pair of shoes dresses up any so-so outfit.  So invest but stay true to your needs.  Go find your “it.”
